Zeus Hygia Lifesciences signs MoU with Patch House Labs to develop transdermal nutra ingredients

Partnership to commercialise clinically validated ingredients in transdermal delivery formats for global markets

Zeus Hygia Lifesciences has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with UK-based Patch House Labs to jointly develop and commercialise nutraceutical ingredients in transdermal delivery formats. The collaboration aims to expand delivery formats of clinically validated nutraceutical ingredients for global consumers.

Under the partnership, Zeus Hygia’s proprietary branded ingredients will be developed into transdermal delivery systems (TDDS) to support bioavailability, convenience and compliance. The initial ingredients planned for development include Metaberine, a low-dose berberine for metabolic health and glucose management; STADICE, a mango extract for cognitive wellness, focus and memory; and Grantria, a pomegranate extract positioned for beauty-from-within and menopausal health applications.

Transdermal delivery systems bypass first-pass metabolism, avoid degradation in the gastrointestinal tract and provide sustained and controlled release of active compounds. TDDS is being positioned as a delivery platform for nutraceutical and wellness applications.

The collaboration combines Zeus Hygia’s ingredient platforms with Patch House Labs’ experience in topical patch technologies to support the adoption of transdermal nutraceuticals across Europe and other markets.

Dr Arunkanth Krishnakumar, Co-founder and CEO, Zeus Hygia Lifesciences, said, “We see strong synergies between our science-led ingredient platforms and Patch House Labs’ delivery expertise. This collaboration allows us to extend the reach and efficacy of our clinically validated ingredients through novel delivery formats that enhance consumer experience and therapeutic potential.”

Isaac Davidson, Founder, Patch House Labs, added, “Zeus Hygia’s commitment to research-driven, premium nutraceutical ingredients aligns strongly with our mission to deliver high-performance transdermal solutions. By combining our formulation and testing capabilities with Zeus Hygia’s patented ingredients, we aim to create differentiated transdermal supplements that can penetrate global markets.”

The MoU reflects the integration of ingredient science and delivery technologies in the nutraceutical sector. As demand for wellness solutions increases, transdermal formats are being positioned as an alternative to oral supplements.

The partnership marks Zeus Hygia’s expansion of its branded ingredient portfolio into transdermal delivery platforms and supports Patch House Labs’ presence in the topical supplement segment.
